Brazil: Foz de Iguazu pt.1

Foz De Iguazu!

Nathy with the three flags :)

Well, today was going to be our last day here in Bonito, but we were going to Foz De Iguazu and the 3 frontiers. We have heard a lot about the waterfalls of Foz and Nathy really wanted to go there. To tell you guys the truth I didn’t even knew there was such a place before Nathy started to rant about that we should go there. And it seemed that whenever we met new people they totally told us to go there.

Anyway, we took the bus at around 19:00 at the local bus terminal in Bonito and arrived around 11:00 in the morning the next day, saving us a day of hostel in the process. I must say, we felt a bit sore after sitting that many hours on the bus, and of course, Nathy was hungry. So we decided to make it short and grabbed a cab. We asked the driver to take us to a reasonable, cheap hostel, so he did.
Great place we found, smack in the city and a stroll from well, anything of importance. The hostel was driven by a guy from Chile, so Nathy felt really at home right away. Now, a little fun fact on Foz de Iguazu. The town is bordering to both the Argentinean town of Puerto de Iguazu and the Paraguayan town of Ciudad del Este, making it a fun place to be since you have a lot of movement of tourist coming and going through Foz. You can visit three countries in under 2 hour’s if you’re lucky.  The waterfalls of Iguazu can be visited from both the Brazilian side and the Argentinean. I’ll talk more about that later ;)
Well, after we settled in, took a shower and were fresh, we were invited for dinner by another guy from Chile who worked there as a bartender. Well, it looked like everyone working there were from Chile. Well, this guy named Boris invited us to tag along for foods! Local, cheap foods. For about 10 Reals we got a lot of different stuff to eat. The Brazilian kitchen like the buffet treatment, and I can’t complain about that.  After dinner we went for a stroll around town with the owner of the hostel. He was going to hook us up with his personal money-exchanger guy, cos’ Nathy wanted to exchange some pesos. After that we just walked around just to see how the town was and to plan our next move. What to see and do, y’know.

Streets of Foz

Tomorrow I will bombard you guys with pic's of the waterfall, so stop ranting about the lack of pic's now :D
